Dr. Bruce Leibert : Named Physician of the Year for Valley Baptist-Harlingen

HARLINGEN – Dr. Bruce A. Leibert, Director of the Valley Baptist Family Practice Residency Program, has been named the 2011 Physician of the Year for Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen.

DOCTOR PERFORMS VALLEY’S 1st SURGERY TO REPAIR URETER USING ROBOT : Robotic surgery at Valley Baptist relieves pain for Valley man; enables faster recovery times for many South Texas patients

HARLINGEN – Dr. Manuel Espinoza, Urologist, has performed the Valley’s first robotic surgery to repair a ureter – a narrow tube which carries urine from the kidneys to the bladder. Following the first surgery, a 64-year-old Valley man said he is now free of pain he has lived with for the past 20 years.
