Why we’re excited: Video game purists consider Castlevania: Symphony of the Night to be one of the greatest video games of all time (with arguably the greatest soundtrack), and the series has struggled under the weight of that mighty reputation ever since. The original Lords of Shadow was an ambitious attempt to reinvigorate the series, with a massive budget and big-name talents like Patrick Stewart providing character voices.
The sequel promises to delve deeper into the Belmont clan’s struggle to defeat evil while fixing the nagging frame rate issues that plagued its predecessor.
