RUN IN THE WOODS Join a nature center staff member for a guided, slow-paced jog on our trails. We will run a few loops totaling about 3 miles. Join us for one loop, or all of them! COLOR UNDER THE OAKS Stop out to visit and de-stress! We’ll have coloring pages (for youth AND adults) and colored pencils and crayons for you to use in the serene picnic area under the big live oaks! Date: Thursdays, August 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th Time: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm |

LIVE ANIMALS WITH ANIMAL CONTACTO Join us for a free night in the park, learning about animals from Animal Contacto. Bring your own chairs if you can, or bring a blanket and enjoy the program from the ground. Limited folding chairs will be available. This program will be in English. At the end of the program, photos with the animals will be available for purchase. You are welcome to bring your own water and snacks. No glass or alcohol is permitted. YOGA FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS You do not have to be flexible or fit to do yoga! With personalized instruction and custom poses to work for any body type and skill level Yoga for Resilience will support you in your journey to greater calm and joy in all that you do. SONGBIRDS, STORIES AND STROLLERS Our nature walk can be fun for the little ones! We’ll go along at a pace that is stroller-friendly, and pause mid-program for a short children’s nature story. All ages are welcome. Date: Tuesday, August 16th Time: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm |

MNC YOUTH BIRD & NATURE CLUB This club meets monthly, and is free of charge. Parents are required to remain onsite during the program, and are encouraged to participate along with the children. Date: Wednesday, August 17th Time: 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm |

WHEELCHAIRS, WALKERS, AND WILDLIFE Our regular Bird & Nature Walk, tailored specifically to those in walkers and wheelchairs! We’ll spend an hour enjoying the nature on our site at a slow pace. Date: Saturday, August 20th Time: 8:30 am – 9:30 am |

YOGA FOR CHRONIC PAIN We focus on poses which will hopefully help to alleviate participants from any chronic pain they may have been having. |

MAKE YOUR OWN GARDEN TRELLIS Join a staff member to learn how to use invasive species in our favor! We’ll make homemade garden trellises by harvesting non-native arundo. Date: Tuesday, August 23rd Time: 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm |

DIG YOUR OWN ALOE VERA Learn about all the great uses for aloe vera, followed by a chance to dig your own plant to take home with you! Bring a plastic bag or a small pot to put your plant in. Date: Friday, August 26th Time: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm |

DUDES DO YOGA This program will focus on poses which are tailored to the male body, as men hold stress and tension in different parts of their bodies than women. Date: Saturday, August 27th Time: 8:30 am – 9:30 am |

REPTILE RENDEZVOUS! Join a staff naturalist for a 1/2 mile walk to explore reptiles and amphibians! We’ll look for lizards to identify, and with any luck we might find a snake or turtle or frog or toad! Bring binoculars if you have them. If not, we have some you can borrow. Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Public programs are also offered as custom group programs for a small fee. Groups of 10 or more must schedule a private program. In the event of steady rain or extreme temperatures,
programs will be cancelled and the site will be closed.
We recommend bringing bug spray and water in the summer months. Water is also available for sale for $1. Cash only.
