Abraham is a pilot with UPS who flies all over the world and is gone for two weeks and then back home for two weeks. Valerie has lived in McAllen her entire life and spent over 16 years in education as a middle school teacher. The Felizs had considered starting their own business for years, and then Abraham tried Teriyaki Madness for the first time while he was in Hawaii for work and brought the idea of opening a restaurant back to Valerie. With a husband who’s constantly traveling and two young children at home, Valerie felt that partnering with Teriyaki Madness was a perfect way to bring balance to their lives and a meaningful new income – so they decided to go for it.
